François Amat is an engineer and researcher with a PhD in Explainable AI from Institut Polytechnique de Paris. His work connects interpretable AI, full-stack engineering and practical product development.
Long bio
François Amat is an engineer and researcher with a PhD in Explainable AI from Institut Polytechnique de Paris. His doctoral research explores patterns and interpretable rules in relational data, including the MATILDA and MAHILDA systems. He has worked as a CTO on AI governance at Suzan and carbon analytics at Fingreen. His engineering practice spans data, backend systems and user interfaces, with an emphasis on transparency, traceability and real-world workflows. Alongside his research and engineering work, he develops open-source tools and independent experiments that turn technical ideas into useful products.
