In Part 1, we explored the 10 camera movements and 10 types of actions/transitions. Now we move to the layers that give character to your clips: atmosphere, rhythm, and the art of combining everything.

Atmosphere and Mood 🌫️

Atmosphere terms modify the overall visual aesthetic. They are additive: you can combine 2-3 in a single prompt. All tested here with slow push in as the base movement to isolate the effect.

1. cinematic lighting (Cinema Lighting)

Effect: High-contrast directional lighting, sculpted shadows, directional light, Hollywood quality. The most versatile term — it improves practically everything.

Recommendation: include it in ALL your prompts by default.

2. dreamlike atmosphere (Dreamlike Mood)

Effect: Soft blur (bloom), pastel or over-saturated colors, slow movements, waking dream sensation. The world seems wrapped in luminous cotton.

When to use: Flashbacks, dream sequences, fantasy moods, childhood memories.

3. dramatic tension (Dramatic Tension)

Effect: Heightened contrasts, deep shadows, suspended movements. The feeling that something is about to happen. The image holds its breath.

When to use: Before a climax, thriller scenes, confrontations, decision moments.

4. ethereal glow (Ethereal Glow)

Effect: Light halos around light sources, celestial and mystical atmosphere. The world seems inhabited by supernatural light — between grace and magic.

When to use: Spiritual scenes, apparitions, fairy-tale atmospheres, narrative grace moments.

5. dust particles in light (Dust Particles in Light)

Effect: Dust particles become visible in light rays. Adds subtle atmospheric texture and tangible depth. A realism detail that makes all the difference.

When to use: Old interiors, libraries, forests, meditative scenes, any moment where you want added realism.

6. volumetric fog (Volumetric Fog)

Effect: 3D fog layers crossed by light rays, creating visible light cones (godrays). Adds massive depth to the scene.

When to use: Mysterious forests, soft horror scenes, heavy atmospheric moods.

⚠️ Very demanding for models. Results vary significantly (Veo > Kling for this type of effect).

Speed and Rhythm ⏱️

Interpolation tempo controls the perceived speed of the clip. A parameter that radically changes the perception of the same scene.

1. gentle, slow, contemplative (Slow and Meditative)

Effect: Everything happens in slow motion. Every change is gradual, every movement is gentle. Ideal for 1 action over 4-6 seconds. Multiplies the perceived clip duration.

When to use: Emotional moments, introspection, landscapes, calm transitions.

2. dynamic, fast, energetic (Dynamic and Fast)

Effect: Fast movements, punchy transitions, high energy. Multiple changes can occur over a single clip's duration.

When to use: Action, music clips, energetic montages, chase sequences.

⚠️ Frames that are too different combined with fast = visual artifacts.

3. smooth motion, cinematic (Smooth and Cinematic)

Effect: Regular movement without jolts, clean linear interpolation, cinema quality. This is the recommended default setting.

When to use: Always — unless you want an intentionally rough style.

This is where video prompting becomes an art. We combine terms from all 4 categories (camera + action + atmosphere + rhythm) to create narratively rich clips.
